how featured peak experiences are selected

In general, we are looking for images and stories that represent a peak moment in your life. Whether it’s a spectacular afternoon in the outdoors, a good time with family and friends, or a great day on the job, we’d love to see your experience.

There is no guarantee that submissions will be displayed on our website for rating. We just can’t post all of them! In general, if your submission is not displayed on our website a few weeks after you submit it, the submission likely will not be displayed. In that event, feel free to submit more experiences (although quantity of submissions will not increase chances of being featured). Additionally, no reasons will be provided if your submission is not chosen for display.

Of the submissions that do get featured on our website, occasionally we will select the submissions that receive the highest ratings (both from us and from web visitors like you) and feature them in our e-newsletter or on our packaging! Having your submission featured on our website, however, does not guarantee placement on our e-newsletter or packaging.

There is no set schedule for the frequency of the selection of submissions. Each submission is eligible for one selection period. All submissions will be compared with those that have been eligible for a similar period of time.

Submitters agree to all terms of service of this website, and specifically the "share your peak experience" policy.

how rating a peak experience works

As a visitor to this website, you have the opportunity to rate each of the peak experiences found here. From time to time, we'll feature a peak experience from our website in our e-newsletter or on our packaging. That experience is selected based upon the rating it receives from us and from visitors like you. This is your chance to participate in the selection process!

To rate an experience, simply click the number of stars you want to give it (from left to right). Yellow stars indicate the rating you've given the experience. Experiences that you have not yet rated will show five white stars. You can change your rating on an experience at any time by clicking a different star than you've already selected.

Here are a couple examples:

To rate a story with one star, click on the first star from the left. One star will become yellow.

To rate a story with four stars, click on the fourth star from the left. Four stars will become yellow.

We've incorporated several anti-fraud techniques into the rating system to reduce the impact of cheating. We want to give everyone a fair chance, and we therefore ask that you to rate honestly!
