Peak Organic Brewing Finds the Right Shade of Green in California

Los Angeles, CA – December 11, 2007 — Peak Organic Brewing, producers of gourmet, certified organic ales, is collaborating with innovative environmental programs in California, said Peak Brewing Founder, Jon Cadoux, a passionate craft beer brewer.

"Peak is committed to using our tasty organic beer to support environmental initiatives. This has been especially fun in California, where people value gourmet products produced with sustainably sourced ingredients," explained Cadoux. "The business community has a long way to go in terms of environmental stewardship, ourselves included. But we applaud those who are trying to make a difference."

Peak collaborates with numerous California organizations, including: "The Green House Effect" at West LA's Green Festival; SurfAid International; Opportunity Green at UCLA's Sustainable Resource Center; Worthy Sounds; Avita Co-Op; The Forest Ethics Organization ; Wallflower "Everything Green" Festival; San Diego Bikes for Little Tykes; "Hollywood Parties Green"; Sunset Junction Street Fair; The Professional Association for Design's "Craftivism"; Green Living Lifestyle Cisco Home event; Eco Nouveau; Green Ambassadors Art Exhibit for Solutions on Global Warming; Sustainable Business Council fall fashion event. Peak also partners with and supports Farm Aid, Chefs Collaborative, Slow Foods, the Organic Trade Association, the Surfrider Foundation and Share Our Strength, said Peak Organic partnership maestro Geoff Masland.
"Peak tastes delicious because it is made from organic ingredients grown without toxic and persistent pesticides, chemical fertilizers and fungicides. The absence of these toxins makes our beer tastier and more enjoyable for people and the planet. Healthier soil grows tastier barley and hops. By supporting organic agriculture, we can make the most delicious beer possible and feel good about the positive environmental contribution we are making," said Cadoux.

Peak comes in three flavors: Pale Ale, complex and hoppy; Nut Brown Ale, smooth with a nutty finish; and Amber Ale, lively with a subtle toasted character. Look for innovative new Peak flavors coming this year.
