Peak Organic Brewing Toasts a Year of Success

Portland, ME – June 11, 2007 — Since rolling out just over a year ago, Peak Organic Brewing has achieved significant success, opening new markets from Boston to San Diego, attracting thousands of new visitors to its website (www.peakbrewing.com), and receiving some of the industry's most influential accolades for its delicious beer.

"We never anticipated such a strong reception. We've (lets keep "just")always been committed to making craft beer with the highest-quality ingredients possible. Folks really seem to appreciate the integrity of our product and our mission" said Jon Cadoux, the passionate beer brewer who founded Peak Organic Brewing.

"Peak Organic Beer tastes delicious because it's organic. It's craft brewed with only the purest organic ingredients that are grown without toxic and persistent pesticides, chemical fertilizers and fungicides. The absence of these toxins makes our beer tastier and more enjoyable for people and the planet. Healthier soil grows tastier barley and hops," says Cadoux. "By supporting organic agriculture, we believe that we can make the most delicious beer possible and feel good about the positive environmental contribution we are making." explained Cadoux.

Peak is available in three flavors, all of which are based on Cadoux's own personal recipes: Pale Ale, complex and hoppy; Nut Brown Ale, smooth with a nutty finish; and Amber Ale, lively with a subtle toasted character. Look for innovative new flavors from Peak this coming year. "Our goal this year is to release some styles that are completely new to the craft brewing scene, all using unique certified organic ingredients" said Cadoux.

Cadoux has been an avid brewer since 1998. Over the course of his years brewing, he became interested in organic products, realizing that they were increasingly more delicious than their conventional counterparts. Cadoux began using organic barley and hops for his brews and was delighted to see the taste of his beer enhanced dramatically. At that point, Cadoux decided he would attempt to mesh his passion for the environment with his love for making delicious beer. He attended Harvard Business School to sharpen his business skills and Peak Organic Brewing Company was launched shortly thereafter. The beer is brewed and bottled in Portland, Maine, and the company has offices in both Maine and Massachusetts.
