Peak Organic Beer Features Randolph, VT Native's Story on the Label
Portland, ME – October 25, 2006 — Randolph, Vermont native Robert Duval never thought his childhood explorations of the farm lands and back rivers of central Vermont would land him on the label of an organic beer bottle, but they have!
Peak Organic Pale Ale bottles, sold throughout the Northeast, now tell the story of one of Duval's peak experiences in life.
"I was exploring the Pacific shoreline with my wife, who is from Brazil and had never been to the Pacific Northwest, when wild elk came within a few feet of her," shared Duval. "Though she had never seen animals of this type before, she broke all the rules and slowly walked towards them to see how close she could get."
Duval took a photograph of the instant and posted it on the Peak Organic website, www.peakbrewing.com. "I feel a strong connection to Peak Organic," Duval explained. "It is a brand that is committed to organic agriculture, a way of life I grew up with in the small towns of Vermont. Because it's made without pesticides, I know it's better for me and tastes delicious, too!"
Peak Organic is produced by a small brewing company dedicated to making delicious, quality beer using the world's best certified organic ingredients. Peak uses barley and hops that are grown without toxic and persistent pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
Local and craft brewed in Portland, Maine, Peak Organic comes in three flavors: Pale Ale, complex and hoppy; Nut Brown Ale, smooth with a nutty finish; and Amber Ale, with a subtle roasted character.
"Folks who enjoy Peak Organic Beer are encouraged to share their lives' peak experiences on our website," said Jon Cadoux, the founder and President/CEO of Peak Organic. "We've gotten submissions from people all over the U.S. and from all walks of life. We've featured them in our e-newsletter and on our packaging."
"Peak Organic Beer is about celebrating what life has to offer," said Cadoux. "We choose to see the glass as half full. People enjoy hearing about the peak experiences of others. We want to spread that positive sense of connection."
A passionate brewer with roots in the organic community, Cadoux spent years perfecting his organic beer recipes. Then, as consumer demand boosted organic sales 20 percent each year, he went to Harvard to get the MBA needed to bring his organic brewing dream to life. Peak Organic Brewing Company was launched shortly thereafter, in 2005, with product being bottled in Portland, Maine. Six-packs, 12 packs and kegs are now sold throughout the Northeast.
Organic beer sales are expected to be very strong. According to the Organic Trade Association, which represents the $13 billion organic industry, organic beer and wine represents the fastest growing segment of America's organic food and beverage category.
