New Hampshire Explorer Stars on Peak Organic Beer Label

Portland, ME – July 10, 2006 — Hanover, New Hampshire native Sean McManamy, 23, has taken his home state's motto "Life Free or Die" to heart. He's hiked the American South West, saved sea turtles on the Baja Peninsula, and studied snow science in Alpine environments. Now he's living in a remote cabin in Alaska where his nearest neighbor is a Black Bear who likes sunning on his front porch.

McManamy's passion for the outdoors has been captured on Peak Organic's delicious new Nut Brown Ale. The beer's label features a story and photo of one of McManamy's peak life experiences.

"A group of friends and I had been hiking in Arches National Park in Utah. We came upon a shady rock formation that stretched out like a hammock, so we stopped to rest and take in the breathtaking terrain," McManamy explained.

The park is known for its sandstone arches and unusual features. They include balanced rocks, fins and pinnacles, all in a variety of colors and textures.

McManamy's quote on the Peak Organic Nut Brown Ale label tells the rest of the story. "This was a day of exploration, great conversation and good people among the spines of Moab, Utah."

Peak Organic Beer Celebrates Life's Peak Experiences

Sean McManamy's experience is just one of scores of similarly moving "peak" moments posted on the Peak Organic Beer website (www.peakbrewing.com ). Whether it's a good time with friends and family, a spectacular afternoon in the outdoors, or a great day on the job, Peak Organic invites its customers to share their peak experiences in life. Site visitors rate the stories and photos customers post, and the most popular ones end up on the bottle and six-pack container.

New to Peak Organic's Amber Ale label this summer is a photo and quote from Boston, Massachusetts resident James Perencevich, 25. On his final day working to help the people struck by Katrina along the Mississippi coast a few miles north of New Orleans, Perencevich looks at the setting sun on the Gulf of Mexico. Far to his right sits an edifice which before the storm had been both a floating casino and a Holiday Inn. The storm had hurled the casino a half mile and landed it on top of the inn, crushing it flat.

Experiencing the connectedness of the relief workers made the occasion a memorable, peak life experience for Perencevich. His quote reads: "Silence, salt air and the long late-day sunlight were all I needed after a day of hard work by the Gulf of Mexico."

Delicious Organic Beer

"Peak Organic Beer is all about celebration" said Peak Organic founder and President Jon Cadoux. "We've found that people enjoy hearing about the peak experiences of others. We want to spread that positive sense of connection."

Cadoux has been an avid brewer since 1998. Over the course of his years brewing, Cadoux became interested in organic products, realizing that they were increasingly more delicious than their conventional counterparts. Cadoux began using organic barley and hops for his brews and was delighted to see the taste of his beer enhanced dramatically. At that point, Cadoux decided he would attempt to mesh his passion for the environment with his love for making delicious beer.

Peak Organic Beer is made with only the highest quality ingredients and comes in three delicious flavors: Pale Ale, complex and hoppy; Nut brown Ale, smooth with a nutty finish; and Amber Ale, lively with a subtle roasted character.

"Peak Organic uses barley and hops that are grown without toxic and persistent pesticides and chemical fertilizers. This approach makes our beer tastier and more enjoyable, both for consumers and for the planet," said Cadoux. "Peak Organic beer is delicious because it's organic."
