Frontier Café, Cinema and Gallery is a vision inspired by founder Michael Gilroy’s passion for connecting people with experiences that provoke a sense of discovery.
We discovered Frontier while they were reclaiming an old mill space overlooking the Androscoggin River. Their menu, which changes seasonally (featuring daily specials), is inspired by street markets and bazaars. Whenever possible, they source foods available locally and seasonally and the Peak beer on draft changes accordingly. Frontier is committed to creating an experience that blends fresh local produce, world flavors and seasonal culinary traditions in a lively meeting place. We worked with Frontier’s chef and general manager, Joel McGarvey, as well as photographer Zack Bowen, to capture some of our favorite food pairings.
